In the small town on Moneygall, Ireland there’s a rest stop named “Barack Obama Plaza.” Now it might seem unusual that the rest stop have the same name as an acting American president. But when you hear the how the name came to be, it’s still just as unusual. When Mr. Obama was gaining political traction in 2007, an Ancestry.com report came out saying he had Irish roots.
