A recent survey put out to the reader’s of travel magazine Rough Guides asked them to rank the world’s friendliest cities. The Irish capital of Dublin came in just behind Glasgow Scotland. The Rough Guides article told visitors to “[enjoy] the Georgian townhouses…and historic churches among some of the friendliest people in the world.” Chief executive of Tourism Ireland Niall Gibbons was thrilled by the news, calling the “Irish welcome” one of the emerald Isle’s most attractive qualities. So if you’re looking for a nice city with nice folks, come on over to Dublin!
