National Geographic took a trip to the Emerald Isle to capture its wide and mysterious castles. One of their favorite picks was Dungiven Castle in County Derry, now a boutique hotel popular among newly wedded couples. Castle O’Brien on Insheer, the smallest of the Aran islands, also made the list, with its ancient drystone walls and distinct Irish culture. Another castle catching eyes in Ireland is Dunluce Castle in County Antrim which dates back to Norman times and is rumored to have a ghost. To see the full list, view the link below.
