Research Suggests Guinness Benefits Heart Health

Why take an aspirin when you can drink beer? A recent study at the University of Wisconsin is suggesting that Guinness can actually help prevent heart attacks. They researchers gave dogs with narrow arteries (commonly associated with heart attacks) a small amount of Guinness. The effect was surprising- the beer reduced clotting in the arteries. But it seems the famed Irish beer was the only kind to have this effect. The scientists also tried lager to no avail. So drink up friends- it’s for your heart!
