Super Silgo Event: Tread Softly Festival

W.B. Yeats is arguably one of the greatest writers of all time, and with his work he left behind a legacy of his roots- Silgo. Throughout his career, he used the culture, folklore and landscape of Silgo. And he was not alone. His brother Jack was a painter who said he never created a piece without at least a little Silgo in it. His sisters Susan and Elizabeth ran Cuala Press, which produced the works of Yeats and also Ezra Pound. The “Tread Softly” Festival in Silgo from July 27-August 8 will honor this fantastically talented family and their hometown.

Another super Sligo fest! Tread Softly Festival – Vibrant Ireland.
