Meaning of the Claddagh
The Claddagh is a symbol of love and loyalty. Not only do the hands offer their heart, but the heart is crowned, making it both royal and holy. The crown relates to the idea of being anointed. The man who is anointed is said to be so holy he can heal the world of its troubles. When popes crowned kings, they anointed the new ruler?s head before placing the crown on it. The crowned heart symbolizes how holy love is.
For the One who Wears the Ring
