The Claddagh ring has long been a beloved and familiar presence on a young woman's finger. After all, the familiar trio of symbols represents the trinity necessary for any relationship: the hands encircling either side represent the friendship that is the base of a relationship, the crown above represents that higher ideal of loyalty that is essential for the relationship to progress, and the heart sits rightly in the center. For what is a relationship without love?
But the Claddagh ring does more than just remind the wearer about the different aspects of true love. It can also signal the state of her affections. Worn on the right hand, the ring shows the woman is unmarried. However, if the heart faces outward, it means her heart is free. But if it faces inward, it means her heart has embraced another.
However, the Claddagh ring can be worn on the left hand, but this special transition usually marks a change of rings. For when the ring is worn on the left hand, it means the wearer is wed.
What better way to have the love of your life show her affections than with this beautiful, unique Claddagh ring crafted lovingly of 14 karat gold and set with two diamonds? It is a perfect wedding band for all those who have fallen in love with the Celtic tradition of the Claddagh ring.
